Description
Henners Vineyard have just released a Sauvignon Blanc. Didn't tell anyone they were going to, it just turned up one day. I checked their website and everything, no mention whatsoever. Sauvignon Blanc is almost certainly the UK's most popular white wine, but we've always had to import it. Not anymore we don't! Henners have sourced these grapes from Sutton Farm, where Suffolk meets Essex. They were originally planted by a winemaker from New Zealand (where Sauvignon Blanc is considered world class!) So he's kind of a Promethean figure in my book. Tragically, that man is no longer with us, however he lives on through his vines and we are delighted showcase them here at Gyre & Gimble.
